Route 2 Bikes has been part of the Topsham cycling community since 2010, when it was founded by Liz and Dave with a passion for helping people enjoy life on two wheels. Over the years, the shop built a strong reputation for friendly service, expert advice, and a genuine love of cycling.
In 2022, Route 2 Bikes entered a new chapter when Nathaniel took over the business. While cycling retail was a new venture, working with tools, machinery, and mechanical systems certainly wasn't. Before taking ownership of the shop, Nathaniel spent many years working as an engineer, fabricator, welder, and HGV mechanic, developing a deep understanding of precision workmanship, problem-solving, and the importance of getting things right the first time.
That engineering background continues to shape the way Route 2 Bikes operates today. Every repair, service, and bike build is approached with the same attention to detail, care, and craftsmanship that has been at the heart of Nathaniel's career. Whether it's a simple puncture repair, a full bike overhaul, or diagnosing a complex mechanical issue, customers can trust that their bike is in experienced hands.
